My mother (age 60) had a successful bilateral TKR six days back at Fortis Hospital ( Vasant Kunj ) under the one and only Dr. Gurinder Bedi. I was really anxious and apprehensive about my mother’s major TKR surgery until I met Dr. Gurinder Bedi at OPD. He’s amicable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and a blessing to all the patients. He not only explained the procedure in a polite and honest manner but also instilled confidence in me and my mother. The gentle tap on the shoulder is more reassuring than anything else. It felt like he’s a member of my family. For people who are thinking of getting the operation done for themselves or for their family members should definitely consult him without a doubt. This is an honest review from my heart and I plan to write another one after the complete post op recovery. Thank you so much Dr. Gurinder Bedi and thanks to all the staff members at Fortis who were very homely and assistive at all times. Forever in gratitude.

What to say about Dr Bedi!!! He is the best. From treating my son and daughter during school years when they had sports injuries ( my son is now 24 and daughter 20years old) to treating my in-laws and mother who are in their 80+ years he does it all. It has been a long association and every time it has been always professional and empathetic. His approach is treating a patient not just medically/surgically but also dealing with the state of their minds. He encourages and gives them positive reinforcement to make them believe in themselves. Illness is physical and psychological.Dr Bedi deals with both aspects to the best that I have known. Post-operative rehabilitation after high tibial osteotomy focuses on restoring mobility and function gradually. Patients typically begin partial weight-bearing with the assistance of crutches immediately after surgery and gradually increase weight-bearing over the following weeks. Comfortable walking is usually achieved within six weeks post-surgery, with a quick restoration of knee movement facilitated by avoiding casting. This progressive rehabilitation protocol aims to promote optimal healing, enhance joint mobility, and facilitate a swift return to daily activities for patients undergoing high tibial osteotomy. Experience unparalleled orthopedic care with Dr. Gurinder Bedi, a leading orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacements and arthroscopy.

High tibial osteotomy is a precision procedure designed to correct knee deformities, particularly in individuals with arthritic knee conditions. During this surgery, an incision is made on the upper inner aspect of the knee, and an osteotomy is performed under X-ray guidance to gradually correct the deformity and achieve precise alignment. The application of a plate stabilizes the corrected position, promoting optimal healing and functional restoration. High tibial osteotomy helps prevent progressive knee degeneration, delaying the need for knee replacements and offering a viable alternative for eligible patients. Trust Dr. Gurinder Bedi, best orthopedic surgeon for top-quality orthopedic care and treatment.

Orthopedic reconstruction surgeries utilize various techniques to address musculoskeletal deformities and trauma effectively. Despite advancements in surgical techniques and implant materials, several misconceptions persist regarding hip replacement surgery. Common myths include the belief that hip replacements are only for the elderly, that they lead to lifelong restrictions and mobility limitations, and that recovery is lengthy and painful. In reality, hip replacement surgery is suitable for a range of ages, many patients resume normal activities post-surgery, advanced pain management techniques minimize discomfort, and rehabilitation programs facilitate rapid recovery and return to function. It's important to address these misconceptions to provide patients with accurate information and alleviate any concerns they may have about undergoing hip replacement surgery. Rely on Dr. Gurinder Bedi's expertise as an orthopedic surgeon for superior care and support.

Following hip replacement surgery, patients can expect significant reductions in hip pain and improvements in overall function and mobility. While pain relief and enhanced mobility are common outcomes, it's essential to have realistic expectations regarding the limitations and long-term outcomes of the surgery. Patients should understand that while modern implants offer improved durability and longevity, high-impact activities should be avoided to prolong the lifespan of the implants. With proper activity modification, weight management, and regular follow-up appointments, patients can experience long-term benefits and enjoy an active lifestyle post-surgery. Achieve lasting relief with personalized orthopedic care from Dr. Gurinder Bedi, a dedicated orthopedic surgeon.

The orthopedic evaluation for hip conditions typically includes several key components to accurately diagnose the underlying problem and plan appropriate treatment. This process involves obtaining a detailed medical history to understand the nature and duration of symptoms, conducting a thorough physical examination to assess hip mobility, strength, and stability, and performing imaging studies like X-rays and MRI scans to visualize hip anatomy and identify any structural abnormalities or damage. Blood tests may be conducted to check for signs of inflammation or infection, and functional assessments help evaluate the impact of hip pathology on daily activities and overall quality of life. Improve your mobility and well-being with advanced treatment from Dr. Gurinder Bedi, an orthopedic surgeon.

Hip replacement surgery may be recommended when conservative treatments fail to provide adequate relief from persistent hip pain and functional limitations. Signs indicating the need for surgery include difficulty performing daily activities due to hip pain, persistent discomfort even at rest, stiffness hindering leg movement, and inadequate pain relief from non-surgical interventions. Orthopedic evaluation, including medical history, physical examination, imaging studies (such as X-rays and MRI scans), and functional assessment, helps determine the appropriateness of hip replacement surgery for individual patients. Gain valuable insights into your orthopedic condition by consulting with Dr. Gurinder Bedi, a specialized orthopedic surgeon.

Hip pain can stem from various underlying conditions, including arthritis (such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), fractures, bursitis, tendinitis, muscle or tendon strains, and hip labral tears. These issues often result from factors like age-related wear and tear, repetitive stress or overuse, traumatic injuries, and anatomical abnormalities. Understanding the specific cause of hip pain is crucial for accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment approaches to address the underlying pathology effectively. Empower yourself with knowledge about your orthopedic condition by consulting with Dr. Gurinder Bedi, orthopedic surgeon in New Delhi.

Despite advancements in surgical techniques and implant materials, several misconceptions persist regarding knee replacement surgery. One common myth is that it's exclusively for older individuals, whereas in reality, patients of varying ages may benefit from the procedure, depending on their specific condition and functional limitations. Another misconception is that knee replacement leads to lifelong restrictions, whereas most patients can resume many activities with proper rehabilitation and adherence to post-operative guidelines. Additionally, advancements in pain management have significantly reduced discomfort during recovery, challenging the notion that knee replacement is extremely painful. It's essential for patients to have open discussions with their healthcare providers to address any concerns and receive accurate information about knee replacement surgery. Take control of your orthopedic health by seeking treatment from Dr. Gurinder Bedi, a dedicated orthopedic surgeon committed to patient care.

Unicompartmental knee replacement offers several advantages over traditional total knee replacement, particularly for patients with localized knee arthritis affecting only one compartment of the joint. By preserving healthy ligaments and bone structures, this minimally invasive procedure can result in less post-operative pain, faster recovery, and improved joint function compared to total knee replacement. Additionally, unicompartmental knee replacement is associated with a reduced risk of complications such as infection and stiffness, making it an attractive option for suitable candidates seeking long-term relief from knee arthritis. Enhance your quality of life with advanced orthopedic solutions provided by Dr. Gurinder Bedi, an esteemed orthopedic surgeon.

Knee replacement surgery becomes necessary when conservative treatments fail to alleviate severe pain and functional limitations caused by conditions like osteoarthritis or traumatic injuries. It is typically considered for individuals who experience persistent discomfort, stiffness, and difficulty performing daily activities despite attempting non-surgical options. Factors such as the extent of joint damage, age, overall health, and the patient's willingness to undergo surgery are carefully evaluated before recommending this intervention. Ultimately, the goal of knee replacement surgery is to relieve pain, restore mobility, and enhance quality of life for eligible candidates. Trust Dr. Gurinder Bedi, a seasoned orthopedic surgeon, to provide expert guidance and treatment for your orthopedic concerns.

Non-surgical interventions play a crucial role in managing knee pain, particularly in the early stages of degenerative conditions. Options such as medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications aim to alleviate symptoms, improve joint function, and delay or avoid the need for surgery altogether. While these treatments can provide significant relief for mild to moderate knee pain, their effectiveness varies depending on factors such as the severity of the condition, patient compliance, and underlying health issues. It's essential to work closely with a healthcare provider to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to individual needs and goals. Partner with Dr. Gurinder Bedi, a respected orthopedic surgeon, for comprehensive orthopedic care and treatment.

Knee pain and degeneration stem from multifaceted factors, including age-related wear and tear, injuries, and underlying conditions like osteoarthritis. Over time, the protective cartilage within the knee joint may deteriorate, leading to friction between bones and subsequent pain. Traumatic injuries, such as ligament tears or meniscal damage, can accelerate degeneration and cause chronic discomfort. Lifestyle factors like obesity, poor posture, and repetitive stress also contribute to knee problems by placing excessive strain on the joint structures, exacerbating inflammation and tissue breakdown. Receive personalized treatment from Dr. Gurinder Bedi, a senior orthopedic surgeon leading a team of experienced professionals.
